I've been feeling like I'm the driver of a truck, going over dangerous roads where there is a precipice on one side, and I'm managing the brakes and the gear changes and the sunlight ... and it was a bit much! Then I started to do my affirmations more (via the Course in Miracles book) - today it is "Miracles are seen in light, and light and strength are one" - and as well do more conscious breathing (I'm using the technique of longer out breaths than in breaths which I've found in the past to be calming, centering, and very healing; magic really) throughout the day, and also remember often that God wants (and needs, I think) me to be happy and well and lighting up the world, even if only in a small way at first (I'm by myself a lot) - if one can call lighting up the world small at all! Meditation is magic. I pray for courage to let the old things fall away and face the new. I also watch a lot of U Tube, e.g., Gregg Braden. I have such hopes for this dawn of a new world, where people are kind to one another but also strong, and are happy, and care for the earth and the plants and animals and sea creatures. What a creation this world is! How beautiful! I try not to fear death as well, since it will come sometime (and I'm 74) - but it's just a transition, it's really a birth not a death.
We have a very bumpy road ahead, with many political and idealogical changes to take place. Remember nothing happens against the will of Spirit. That part of the Lord's Prayer: "Thy will be done", which we instinctively feel is so wise and ancient resonates with us all. Throughout 2024, I couldn't help but think back to the 1930's (even though I was not yet alive then) and imagine how people must have realized that the terrible clouds of war were gathering on the horizon and watched helplessly. But Spirit placed every important player in the right place, the right King for Britain, the right President in the U.S. I believe this will happen now. Sit back and watch events unfold. You are at the movies. None of us knows the final outcome of this particular film except Spirit. Trust that many years from now, our children and grandchildren will look back and realize that all that is happening must happen and Humanity will emerge wiser, stronger and better for these experiences to come.
Yes, thank you Lynn. I think of this also as my parents grew up in the 1930’s. This has always been a deep learning for me to accept what is unfolding in the world that is so painful, that is not what I would wish. Blessings to you!
